I attended my first Ashtanga Yoga class at the Brighton Buddhist Centre in 2003 and was blown away! I started practicing morning Mysore style in 2006 with Sarah Miles and founded the Ashtanga Brighton website in 2007 to support the local Ashtanga Yoga community. I organise Ashtanga workshops in Brighton and also send out an occasional newsletter. In 2009 I set up a Sunday self practice group which ran until the end of 2012.
I've had a daily practice since 2008 and also run Brighton digital media agency - zero G media. There is great stillness and joy to be found in the daily practice of yoga but it requires dedication, patience and consistency to make progress - like the rest of life. Ashtanga Yoga is a process of healing and self discovery.
Like many practitioners, I share a deep devotion to the Ashtanga Yoga lineage with it's heart at the KPJAYI in Mysore under direction of Sharath Jois. I'm looking forward to making my first trip to Mysore in 2013.
While I maintain a strong daily asana practice I continue to study and share yoga philosophy, pranayama and Sanskrit chanting offering a pragmatic approach to yoga for every daily life.
I'm available for one to one sessions and group workshops for both beginners and serious practitioners looking to deepen their practice or those working with injuries.
I'm passionate about sharing the transformational practice of Ashtanga Yoga with beginners and those new to yoga. With this in mind I offer a 10 class card for just £70. The card is valid at my Thursday class.
Come and discover yourself one breath at a time!
