Bon voyage Sarah, welcome Nick

Yesterday we said goodbye to Sarah who’s off to Goa to practice with Rolf and Marci for 3 months. Lucky girl! There were over 20 of us practicing at the morning Mysore practice, before even more of us descended on a local coffee shop. It was also a chance for us to meet Nick Evans who will be teaching while Sarah is away.

We gave Sarah a card and raised a generous collection. She was blessed with a Neal’s yard gift selection, handy heart shaped compact mirror and a funky Sweaty Betty bamboo yoga top.

I’d like to express my gratitude to Sarah who’s been teaching solo since Shari’s departure at the end of August and wish her well in her adventures in Goa. A big thanks to Laura and Hannah who did the shopping – I know how you both shun materialism and hate shopping so it must have been difficult (tee hee!) Thanks also to everyone who wrote in the card and came along to say goodbye. It was quite a send off.

Today was Nick’s first morning at the helm and there was a nice relaxed vibe in the room and lots of soothing sounds going on. I particularly enjoyed Nick’s adjustments in Supta Kurmasana and Baddha Kanasana.

I had a really intense experience doing back drops too which was a lovely spacious moment. Not easy to describe so I won’t. I’m really looking forward to practicing with Nick and hope he enjoys his time with us.
