Acroyoga’s coming back to Brighton

I’m really excited about this. The Acroyoga London team are coming back again! If you remember the first time you may have heard of this was when Guy, me and a few others tried their class at the Yoga Festival near Glastonbury in August. Then I invited them to do a short demonstration during the Manju workshop and they held their own workshop here in early October.   If you haven’t tried it already, you really must. It’s such FUN!! Like being a kid again. And it will help you overcome fear of inversions. I really thought I wouldn’t be up to it, but when I had a go I could do some amazing things like supported cartwheel and support a muscley 6 foot man on my legs! It’s all about trust, trusting your partner, and support. It’s a bit like being given an adjustment – by using the support of another person you can do a posture you wouldn’t normally be able to. Which gives you an amazing sense of achievement. Their next workshop is on Sunday 26 April 10am to 1pm and costs £25 (£20). Book through www.bnhc.co.uk. If you really prefer to take a backseat and just watch, they are performing as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival, at the Brighton Natural Health Centre 27 Regent St on Friday May 8th at 8pm. Visit www.brightonfestivalfringe.org.uk and book through them or through www.bnhc.co.uk. See you there!!! Louisa x

    Hey Louisa,

Thanks for posting this! Yes the AcroYoga workshops are great fun.
It’s a great opportunity to explore Asana in a new playful way.

Once you get over the fear of the inversions or balancing someone on your legs you can have a great time!

There’s also the AcroYoga therapy side to it which is great – with lots of parallels with Thai Yoga Massage.
So you’re likely to get a little massage while you’re flying too!

    Highly recommended!

    G
